I prefer the straight-on view in the second image.

The bike rider image gives a more people-centred context to the image. The other image is lovely, ultra-sharp and clearly is more skyline and street oriented. A nice traffic ambiance. Both very nice IMO.

I like both but they convey different feelings. The straight-on as Eric wrote above, has some great depth and is less packed with people. The place is luminous but seems vast. For the second shot, the human present is real and heavy.
Bravo for those two images...
