Thank you for the very interesting article on focus stacking. Just wondering if you can answer the question why you do not use a camera that has integrated auto focus stacking and bracketing. To my opinion this would simplify matters much more next to much lower costs. I am appreciating your comment.

I came to ask the same question. I am thinking of upgrading my camera and I've noticed one of the features of the Canon R6 is focus stacking capabilities. Would a stacking rail be obsolete with the in camera implementation of focus stacking?

I have a Fuji X-T4 with integrated focus stacking. I see no need to use a stacking rail.
