Title: Ice hunting

With 90+ miles of shoreline there are a lot of little hidden spots that might form some good ice for skating.
Yesterday I hiked around looking to see what I could find to skate. Nothing looked great for skating but some of it still just looked great. :)

Agreed.

Very good for photographing, not so good for skating, even with a life jacket.

That froze up fast. But I guess it's a different lake, also beautiful.

Same lake, maybe a mile from that open water which will also close up soon.
At the temps we have had lately, only about two days can separate open water from good skating which is 2+ inches.
