Title: Riaan van Wyk RIP
Post by: Tony Jay on December 20, 2020, 05:49:57 am
I have not posted on LuLa for some time!

However, someone who is well known to this forum - Riaan van Wyk - has tragically died from a stroke suffered a few days ago!
He passed away in a hospital in his home town of Richards Bay, South Africa.
This is a shock as he was still a young man with a young family...

He had a very eclectic style of photography that used to excite a fair amount of discussion on this forum and I am sure he will be missed!
He was well known in South Africa and his death has caused a great outpouring! There was a lot more to this man than just photography and that is reflected in the response to his death!

Condolences to his wife, Hester, and the children.

RIP Riaan!

Sorry to hear this news. I considered Riaan's work to be some of the best on LuLa. I'll miss seeing his stuff.

RIP, Ryaan.

Sad indeed.

We never met but Riaan and I chatted occasionally via PM, he always struck me as such a considerate and kindly man.

RIP, my friend.
