Title: Chromebook vs. Windows laptop

I use a Windows laptop for emailing, surfing the web, googling, etc. and a Windows full size tower for spreadsheets, image editing, printing, etc. My aging Windows laptop will likely need to be replaced in the near future. So the question is should I consider a Chromebook as replacement? What has your experience been in this area?

Has your laptop been upgraded to a SSD? That may get you a few years out of the current setup.
 
If you wanted to, you can convert your existing laptop into a 'Chromebook' by installing Neverware CloudReady for Home - https://www.neverware.com/freedownload#intro-text 
If you purchase a new one, you'll want to make sure it's a 2020 model - the schools have been buying up a lot of them.

If you already use all the Google platform apps (Gmail, Google Doc's, etc) then it'll work out fine.  If you're more Office 365 stuff, then I would recommend sticking with a PC.
