I like it but it wasn't immediate. My eyes bounced from the sun-lit zones and then ended up on the bird - an excellent and complex way to discover this shot.

Thanks, Eric and Francois. At first I almost missed the anhinga because she was out of the light. But then she moved into it and made my day. Women sometimes do things like that. I know she's a woman because of all that white on her.

Nice! Have you thought about some cropping? To me, that ramble of dried vegetation at the bottom does not add anything.

If I have a framing problem, Peter, I always think about cropping. In this case I didn't and don't have a framing problem. I was using a zoom lens. I could have framed it any way I wanted to. This was was best. I did, by the way, shoot three frames, but not because I wanted to get rid of the vegetation. I wanted to get the bird with its head up.

Good that it was a female as I think a male would have gotten lost to the BG.
