Title: Balcombe viaduct

This is Balcombe viaduct in West Sussex, England.  It was opened in 1841 and is 500 yards (450 metres) long with 37 arched vaulted piers.  There are 11 million bricks in it. It carries the main London to Brighton rail track and, in the 40 minutes there, 6 trains went over it, so it is well used as that was not in rush hour!

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.  The Victorians knew how to build when they wanted.  It was definitely worth the afternoon out to see it.
