Title: Floral fireworks

This is Tillandsia ionantha fuego, an airplant indigenous to Mexico and Central America. I've had this plant for three or four years, almost losing it to a fungal infection months after it arrived. Since then, it has produced a couple of 'pups'; that's what they call the new plants that bud off the main one, but has never bloomed, until now. I'm glad it survived, because I think it's a beauty, and I hope you'll agree.

Fireworks is a perfect title. This plant is spectacular, much better than any man-made fireworks.

Thank you francois, armand and Jeremy. Armand: Yes, I had considered a focus stack, but opted not to use one, as I wanted a bit of oof depth to the image. I may return to retake a second set of photos. If I do, I'll focus stack for sure.
