very nice capture. That D750 and zoom does wonders.
That flower head might be a good sequence to shoot as it develops.

Thanks, Frank. I'll check tomorrow and see if it's still there. It's on the edge of the river, and I notice that things like this don't last long.

Just got the word from our local expert. This flower is called a Duck Potato. An ugly name for a beautiful flower.

I would be tempted to stick with one of the simpler names, such as Sagittaria variabilis var. obtusa.  ;)
