Title: Black and White soft proofing on a Macbook Pro?

Just wondering, in general color soft proofing is not recommended on a laptop. How about Black and White ???. Assuming the laptop is calibrated?

I realize your Post was made months ago but I do all my processing & proofing on MacBook Pro. I have for years and no problem here👍🏻
