I just noticed that this printer is available for $2695.00 right now at hp.com.  Price is $300 lower than it was a month ago.  Strongly tempted myself.  Thought others might be interested.

What's with printer prices in the US? Or is it Australian prices that are off?

The same printer costs 7255 AUD here, which is equivalent to 5049 USD at today's rates.
