Interesting and entertaining short talk on why there are so many incompetent male leaders in the world, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeAEFEXvcBg&feature=youtu.be (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeAEFEXvcBg&feature=youtu.be). This is presented as food for thought, I'm not personally interested in getting into a big discussion about it, am too busy. It struck home with me because it closely describes my experiences after 40 years of working. I particularly like his comment about how we too easily confuse confidence for competence.

"As democracy is perfected, the office of President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." -- H.L. Mencken

Reminds me of the Peter Principal espoused years ago.
"The Peter Principle is an observation that the tendency in most organizational hierarchies, such as that of a corporation, is for every employee to rise in the hierarchy through promotion until they reach a level of respective incompetence"
