The first frame was perfectly fine: the problem is the overall ~~deadness~~ flatness of the image. A lot you could and should do with it in post in order to give it a life.

I prefer the crop, but I agree with Rob that the processing could be jazzed up a bit.

Eric, I thought you knew: that Alice doesn't live here anymore.

So no, not the modern chick; the olde worlde one with the mirror, and an obsession with queens (as in royals), insane hatters and mice!

I think he's probably right. I find it disconcerting that the tree is so very sharp while a large area of foreground is neither sharp nor that very creamy effect you get with very long exposures. The background seems to have similar issues for me anyway.

How zing can you give long exposure water like this?

Anyway it's probably just me so I wouldn't worry overly much.
