Title: Tracy Arm, Alaska.

Very early in the morning, from our cruise ship. This was one of the first icebergs I ever saw and I was excited! Panasonic G2 with Lumic 14-42mm lens.

I was hugely excited when I saw my first iceberg, too. They're wondrous things.

This shot, on the other hand, looks better to me without the blurred white thing in the foreground.

But if you've spent a lot of money in order to get to see blurred white things, ...

I have to agree with Jeremy. The rest of the scene is the exciting part.

Generally I ridicule the sharpness fetish, but for this kind of thing sharpness is important. None of this picture is sharp enough to make it a keeper.

Right but the "blurred thing" is th ice-"berg" proper!

It is not sharp, to be sure. But 1/8 of a sec thru porthole glass? And to be honest, the whole scene actually looked sort of blurry!

I actually rather like your blurred vision on this one.  But your iceberg  looks like an ice pan to me,  I don't think it even qualifies as a growler.   ;)   But then 'firsts' are always special.
