Hello,

ImageSkill Software announces the release of ImageSkill Magic Sharpener plug-in v.1.0 for Windows. It allows a user to get dramatically improved the look of images without color halos and increased color noise.

Plug-in increases the contrast along edges and gets more sharpness and contrast to fine details making them more visible. The latter features can be managed independently doing sharpness enhancement to be content-sensitive in some sense. Since sharpness increasing is very creative process when one is trying to satisfy its own demands that in general contradict each other the separate processing of edges and fine details give everyone unbelievably easy way to realize his own flight of fancy. It is the main feature that differs this plug-in from other (Nik Sharpening, Focus Magic etc).

Michael doesn't have any advertising on his website.  I don't know that there's any place for it here, but that's up to him.

And besides, Photoshop's "Smart Sharpen" works just fine.

Give the guy a break, he did say "OT". Posting product information, in a restrained way, does not seem objectionable to me.

And "Smart Sharpen" is rubbish.

Agreed. It was more informational than advertising. Not objectionable to me either...

Can you elaborate on why you think Smart Sharpen is rubish?

I found it took a little getting used to but ended up thinking that is was actually pretty good at sharpening.

I also thought the Image Skill Magic Sharpener was pretty good with good control but wasn't any better then Smart Sharpener. I still may play around with boh of them some more to really know for sure.
