There is a little more detail visible on my monitor but I didn't care to bring much detail there to start with. I exposed more for the highlights and the difference in luminosity was quite large between the left side, under the cloud cover, and the right side, lit by the sun through a break in the clouds. I preferred the contrast, you don't want to go to the left (too dark) or to the right (impassable terrain) but follow the road ahead.

The light was weird.

Here is a version with no postprocessing and one with that left side lifted more.

I wonder if you can just crop it out; something like this?
