Title: Color in the San Juans and Western Slope of Colorado

Any first person reports of where in the foliage cycle we are this year?  Usually things peak around the last few days of September, but usually doesn't apply much to weather anymore.

Yeah, it's weirdly late although spring was pretty late too. Cottonwoods are tuning but the aspens are still mostly green.
If we get a wind event the leaves may all go before they turn!
I went out for sunrise Wednesday and it was cloudless and still mostly green. I should have slept in instead.
I hear things have progressed somewhat up high since then but I have not been back to see for myself. I'll get out this weekend and see how it's looking.

Not my photo but fellow Gunnison County Photographer Dusty Demerson (http://www.imagescolorado.com) shot this yesterday at a very well known and frequently photographed spot on Kebler Pass. This would normally be past peak by now.
