Title: First it was the Clouds Afire, the Next Night it was the Sky
Post by: Chris Calohan on August 16, 2019, 08:56:42 am
Same western sunset as Slobodan saw down in Naples, just different clouds and a slightly different angle.  I did absolutely nothing in PP to enhance the colors...just applied lens correction and straightened the horizon. It was raining when I made the shot which explains the odd textures on the water.

The experience of being in an all-enveloping sunset like that is simply awesome.

I agree with Arlen and my regret is that it was raining so hard on my side of the lake as not to be able to go down to the dock and shoot a panorama as the sky was like this nearly totaling the horizon. That deep red glow lasted for over 40 minutes after the sun had long gone toward Houston, 500 miles to the west.
