Title: Utah in Early October
Post by: [email protected] on May 05, 2019, 11:23:23 pm: I will be traveling to Utah in the first week of October for a trip totally devoted to photography. Having never previously visited the national parks in Utah, I'm seeking recommendations for about an 8 day trip. I will likely limit myself to two of the parks. Any suggestions concerning which two parks would make a good pair in early October with about 3-4 days in each? Thanks for any suggestions.

Post by: Wolfman on May 06, 2019, 01:45:47 pm: Canyonlands & Arches National Parks for your 1st half and Hwy 12 which incorporates Bryce among other very interesting spots along it. Research Hwy 12.

Post by: azmike on May 06, 2019, 04:11:55 pm: Second Wolfman's suggestion about Hwy 12. I'd start at Bryce and then follow 12 thru the Escalante Grand Staircase all the way to Capital Reef.
Enough landscape for a decade's long project.

You should/must also get a copy of Laurent Martes' Photographing the Southwest Volume 1 - Southern Utah. It's essential for what you are planning.
