Title: Epson SC-P800 what to do after long period switched off

My Epson SC-P800 has been switched off for around 6 months. Do I need to do anything special before trying to run some prints through, or just a nozzle check?

Perform the nozzle check and review the results to determine your next step.

Just like Ron said, nozzle check. If it is good print away. If not do the standard clean and another nozzle check.
Chances are good you will have to do no more.

I have been rather pleased with my P800 performance after standing idle for longer periods of time than first intended (printer not me  ;) ) - weeks rather than months though!  My original concern being based on some of the comments on certain Epson particular propensity to clog.  Yesterday ran a first nozzle check after printer idle for a month with perfect results followed by a quick print the result being perfect.

What I did notice was that there was a lot of activity and a very long time before the nozzle check actually started to print.  It seemed much longer than if the printer had only been idle a day or so!

Hopefully you may experience the same.  In any event it would be interesting to hear your experience so please let us know how you get on.  Good luck  :)
