Title: Post View Count Reset

It seems that the Post View counter visible at the bottom of each article was lost / reset as of March 16.
Maybe due to the recent site migration? Is this a permanent or temporary loss of the hit counter?

Looks like a permanent loss of the count before 3/16  :'(

If they have a website backup from before March 16, it should be relatively easy to add the two counters before and after that date, and update the View count in the latest website version.
It still could be on its way back, but it's not moving very fast.

It can be solved- but requires work between two servers / different web dev companies. Just a work schedule issue for others right now. It is in process.

Chris,

what's the status of the Post View fix?

It should be easy to update it:
1. In the old system, read sequentially all articles (or a counter file, if designed in such a way), write a temporary counter file, one line per article - first field the article name or id, second field the Pre March 16 count)
 
2. Switch to the new system. Read sequentially all articles (or a counter file, if designed in such a way), read corresponding record in the temporary counter file, add that value to the Post March 16 count, update the said count, repeat until end of file.
