It's bizarre that the two pigeons (lower right) haven't flown off. They seem unafraid.
Maybe they are thinking "The eagle only eats rabbits, not pigeons" (or whatever the actual prey is.

Or maybe they thought the eagle would go after the photographer before hunting pigeons.   ;)

They are corvids waiting to get in and grab a bit of food for themselves. (Corvids are the crow, rook, raven etc.family).

 Nice catch Jeremy! By the bye, I saw something similar happen right in my own backyard, two mourning doves were pecking away at some spilled seed form one of the feeds when a Cooper's Hawk swooped in and blowtorched one of them. The other remained where it was, continuing to peck away, seemingly oblivious to it's neighbors fate.
