Three parts of the falls of Bruar that stretch for a mile as the river tumbles down from the Grampian mountains in Scotland. A day of shooting intimate landscapes due to the flat light although, at times, a weak and watery sun tried its best to break through. Ken

The flat light works for these.

Good set.

Used to drive to Killin quite often from Glasgow; took a couple of shots of the Falls of Dochart there and, to my surprise, got to use one as back projection for a whisky bottle shot. I subbed that one out, as I no longer used 4x5.
Nothing dramatic at all, just some rapids, really.

Good stuff! I know from experience that is not that easy to get appealing photos of these despite the fact that they look nice in real life.

Good set. I prefer the second, in which the exposure is short enough to retain a little detail in the flowing water.

Because of the dirty water, this doesn't work in color.

Slobodan I never think of this colour of water as dirty but I suppose the tiny particles of peat suspended in the water are just dirt. However this dirt is one of the main reasons for the success of Scotch Whisky. I could of course desaturate the water and see what it looks like, perhaps better but definitely false. Ken

Oh, you mean that is actually whisky flowing? All is forgiven, then. Just let me see the geotag 😉
There is a stream of bourbon and water running down the hillside...
