I like the frosty tree in front, but the background feels a bit disruptive to me.

A few steps to the left and you would have positioned it against the darker background, I suppose.

I think Eric has it right. It looks too busy and the focus on the ice laden trees is lost and in competition with the background trees.

But maybe you could easily fix it with, say, 57 hours or so of subtle use of the PS Clone Stamp.    ;)
