Recently starting using a color chart at the start of all my shoots. I was thinking it would be sensible use black, grey and white patches to apply an automatic color adjustment in shadows, midtones and highlights. I tried using the curves dialogue and making per channel adjustments at the 3 points on the curve that correspond to the 3 standards. This balanced the standards perfectly, however when I checked the reference gradient, the in-between colors were then out of whack.
Can anyone recommend the best way to do this using a color standard, with or without a plugin. Thanks.
