Posted this before but decided to post again and keep these three images in one thread. Not sure what anyone else will get from them but I grew up in this area and we would visit here almost every weekend when I was very little. In those days Apartheid was in full swing and no black people were permitted to use the facilities. Incredible to imagine that now but so it was.

This is the kind of work I would like to see in a exhibit. It gives a view on a world I don’t know.
The sum of images is the narrative that makes the story.
The visual language is intelligent and there is more beyond the literal, it is observational, respectful and honest.




I like it a lot.
