Post by: brandtb on May 19, 2018, 09:30:01 am: Few thoughts. As a whole they don't really have enough strength graphically/compositionally to hold their own as standalone images. One thing I like about them though is that your shutter is not slowed down so much that the water is "vaporized" into large white blobs or areas of little interest. This is such a hackneyed and overused device - nice to not see it. You've hit the middle ground with it and the water has little "trails" or "tracing lines" to it and some definition. I think this loc has some nice color too - the orange tones in the rocks, the greens and blues in the water as well as the mottled aspect of the stone itself - these things have a lot of potential. Maybe the colors and the qualities of the stone - in addition to the water is something to explore more if you shoot there again.
