I imagine the petrel found it appetising. Or it could have just been very, very hungry - too hungry to wait for the cooked meal waiting for it at home, I suppose.

We were told it was a minke whale.

Did you try cropping inside the whale?  Not sure if it's better or not with the rocks revealing explicitly what you're seeing.

Without the rocks it becomes an amazing abstract (plus bird.)
