Title: Calling Sherlock Holmes

I made a print on BC Lyve using my 7900. I then coated it with Timeless Satin. The varnish was rather old but seemed OK. When it had dried these red spots had appeared. This photo includes about 2-1/2 inches of the print. They are almost all clustered in this one area of the print. They are not in the original image, needless to say. I am quite sure they were not present before the varnishing.

I carefully checked the varnish and the roller and there is no sign of anything that might have caused these.

Any ideas?

I suspect mould. Had an Asian canvas once that had it big-time.
