Title: First Light - Snowdonia, Wales, UK
Post by: PBC on December 22, 2017, 11:08:14 am
After a cold pre-dawn walk up to Llyn Llydaw (a lake in Snowdonia, North Wales), I positioned myself at a small frozen pool I had found when scouting the area the afternoon before.  Then it was a simple case of setting up and waiting for the light.  To be honest, the mass of cloud to the east meant I wasn’t really expecting anything, but you sometimes have to hope; and just for a few minutes, the first light of the day broke through the clouds and illuminated the peaks.

Think it was worth the walk in the end.

Definitely worth the hike and the wait.  Congrats on the effort and the result.

Thanks everyone.   I will post a shot soon "30 minutes after first light" - when there is no light :-)

Nice tension between warm & cold in this image.
