Title: LR pano merge wrong direction
Post by: Wayne Fox on June 08, 2017, 11:35:35 pm
If I merge a horizontal series of images, LR will preview and then create a vertical pano.  Everything else seems normal and it's easily rotated so not a big deal, but certainly a bug.  These are the first panos I've tried from my IQ3 100 back, wondering if this is another bug in the latest version of LR, or if perhaps there's just an issue with the files from this back that maybe they aren't aware of.

It sounds specific to your files, not a general bug.

I have merged 8-10 Nikon D810 files (36 MP) several times without issue but I am still one update back on Lightroom.

Glad to see you can still use the merged images though.

Thx.  sounds like it might be an issue with the IQ3 100 raws.

this has been confirmed as a bug by Adobe and they have notified the developers.

Weird. I haven't had any rotate.

What I have found is if you create a tiff in C1 then imported to LR for a pano they stay in the correct orientation. If you use them as Raw in LR and create the pano from raw the pano will have the wrong orientation.

This is with IQ100 files.

yes, this seems to be a bug when merging panos from  IQ3 100 raws in Lightroom. (confirmed by Adobe) This doesn’t seem to affect any other Lr pano merges, including from tiff files.
