Any merit?
As a commercial advertising shot for the bike, yes, but otherwise, posed without a clear message, imo.

Does anyone actually ride a serious MTB with the reflectors still in the wheels and a pie-plate inside the rear cluster?

Now do you get this thing about Scotland being different?

It's delightful, Stamper.

IMO it's on the right track, but I'd go with a wider view (less cropping) and a cyclist in motion.

I had to crop it because there were distractions on either side of the frame. The cyclist was stationary for a few minutes and he was on a pavement, so little chance of any motion.
