Title: Hahnemuhle glossy with Canon Pro 100?
Post by: DrakeJ on January 31, 2017, 08:15:21 am
Hello printer experts!

Does anyone have experience printing the glossy line of papers from Hahnemühle on a Canon Pixma Pro 100?

I am using the settings that Hahnemühle recommends, which is "Other glossy paper" in the driver and the proper ICC for Photo Black and the paper in question.

I have now printed on 4 different papers in the glossy series and they all come out looking blotchy/scratchy in the dark areas of the print, with FineArt Pearl looking the worst where it shows even though you don't view it at an angle.

But viewing it from an angle, they all show the same issue. Much to my dismay, setting the printer driver to "prevent abrasion" does nothing.

The image attached shows the problem, although I'm the first to acknowledge that the iphone has a wee bit exaggeration built into it. Much of this is not visible if not viewing from an angle, but some of it is.
