I find the local contrast and/or sharpening a bit exagerate.

You obtain a "HDR style" photo.

For me it would be better to decrease local contrast even if the shadows become darker.

You're partly right, downscaling accentuates the crunchiness.

I printed the image today at its full intended size of 36” x 78” on Canson Photo HD matt canvas and there is no sign of the crunchiness. Theirry, I do definitely see the crunchies you’re talking about on monitor at 100% viewing the uploaded jpg, and on a small jpg proof on glossy paper. I guess going from nearly a 1 GB file to a little more than 800K jpg leaves something to be desired in quality outcome.
