Hi!
I changed the name of one of my catalogs (3 in total. Don't ask me why). And now when backing up just this renamed catalog LR does not compress the
lrcat -file anymore to Zip-file.
All other (unrenamed) catalogs are compressed in backup process.
Can someone tell me what could cause this? Seems that everything else works like before.
Windows 10 64bit, LRcc latest update.

Wow! That is a great tip. I don't want my lrcat file compressed as it takes too much time. I back up on every exit so it bothers me.

I also backup (nearly) every time I quit LR. The time doesn't bother me. It's just that the uncompressed lrcat-file takes 3.72Gb space and comressed only
0,42Gb.

When you renamed the catalog, did you also rename the folder it is in? I am thinking that LR expects the .LRCAT file to be in a folder with the same name. If the folder name and .LRCAT name differs, LR finds or builds a folder of the .LRCAT name and places the backup file there.
I've really no idea how LR works, but, as a retired application and system programmer, I can see this happening.
Best of luck finding your backups,
Alan

No, all my 3 catalogs are in same folder wich I have named "LR-CATALOGS". Now when I renamed one of these catalogs everything else works like
before. Only the backup of this renamed catalog misses the compress step.
