Title: Lightroom Print module setup re: Epson ABW mode

Seeking clarification for how to setup the Lightroom Print module for printing in B&W using Epson's ABW mode. In reviewing the LuLa video Camera to Print & Screen #38 – Image Processing: Epson Advanced B&W mode, about 1:15 into the video, Jeff Schewe suggests that under color management (this is in Lightroom 3 but presumably, same still holds today) on the right panel that the profile should be set to managed by printer. Later on in the same video, the color profile is an sRGB profile (an sRGB display profile??). In reviewing notes that I had made when viewing the LuLa Lightroom 3 videos, with regard to printing in Lightroom with the Epson ABW mode, it is suggested to change the color mnagement printer profile dropdown to the adobergb display profile.

Can anyone clarify what should be set in color management with respect to the profile dropdown? Should it be managed by printer or set to a display profile?

Cynthia,

as far as I know, the ABW mode expects a file that is gamma corrected with a gamma value of 2.2. So sRGB or Adobe RGB (both in a gamma 2.2 space) should be fine.

Set it to Managed By Printer and then in the print driver, set it to ABW. Don't worry about anything else...
