In Michael's new article about long exposures with the P45, he notes that Noiseware software has been used to reduce noise. I thought he was using Noise Ninja for this purpose. Does anyone have experience with both? Has Noise Ninja been surpassed?

In my experience the two are very close, though I have been having problems with Noiseware crashing Photoshop CS2 on the Mac and as a result rely more on Noise Ninja.
See links to many options for noise reduction software with screenshots and examples here (http://www.plugsnpixels.com/imageenhancement.html).

FWIW, i used to use ninja , but have recently found noiseware professional to be better suited to my style/equipment needs.
One really neat function is it's noise bracketing option which gives you a set of bracketed settings based round the one you originally set. Helps to get the best balance IMO.
cheers,
