Just a quick note that the Schneider LS Blue Ring line now includes updated 75-150LS and 40-80LS lenses.
Both were already exceptional lenses in their pre-blue-ring incarnations; the optics remain unchanged from those incarnations. The migration to blue ring includes:
- serialization (the XF can store the focus calibration per serial number, rather than per model; mostly important for production houses and rental studios that have more than one of each focal length)
- build quality and ergonomics (laser etched barrel rather than rubber), metal metal everywhere
- even better quality control and tolerances as Team Phase One continues to raise the bar for their production line
