Title: Sony A6300 and Steady Shot support
Post by: nvw on April 13, 2016, 02:19:06 pm
I just purchased the Sony A6300 and have learned that Steady Shot is not supported with the Sony 55 or Zeiss Batis 25. I was just wondering if this was a technical issue (full frame lens on a cropped sensor) or a Sony decision.

Neither of those lenses are stabilized lenses so no camera without IBIS will support stabilization on them.  You would need a body that has IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization) and the a6300 does not have IBIS in order to get stabilization on a lens that does not have it built in.
