Thanks for a nice article and good photos. As a geologist, I was quite impressed by the Canyon, never heard of it before. Those pegmatite veins are stunning.

Yes, good write-up and very nice photos. I live pretty close to the canyon and visit somewhat regularly. It's a great location and really spectacular. The painted wall is kind of mind boggling to look at in person!

Thanks for the kind words. I realize that I've mis-identified the location pictured in "North Rim Viewpoints", which is Chasm View, not Narrows View. Unfortunately, it's easy to have those kinds of slip-ups when visits span 20 years! This one has been corrected in the upcoming book http://www.treasuredlandsbook.com.
