Just read Lenswork #83, a selection of Bill Jay's end notes. It was a breath of fresh air, insightful and funny.
I regret that I never even heard of him until after his death.

Yup, Mr. Jay's columns were always a pleasure to read and contemplate. On Being A Photographer is a fine book too. As is Men Like Me, a late publication of photos.
