Title: Mac Colormunki Print Profiling Issue

I'm testing a new install of El Capitan. In doing so, I reprofiled a paper in my ipf8400 with Colormunki Print.

In an exercise of curiosity, I was comparing profiles with the ColorSync app. I was surprised to see that the new profile fit almost entirely inside the sRGB space. (attached file: New Profile. sRGB is gray)

I have an older profile that was created with everything the same, except Mavericks as the OS. The Colorsync app shows this profile to be a much larger space. I confirmed this by rebooting to my Mavericks backup and making another profile. (attached file: Old Profile)

What am I missing?

While printer gamuts significantly exceed sRGB in many areas, about 20% of the sRGB working color space is not printable and has to be mapped to an in gamut printer color. Any printer gamut display that encompasses almost the entire sRGB should be viewed with skepticism.

Thanks Doug, but what I'm looking for is why the difference in profile making from Mavericks to El Capitan.

I just printed a DataColor target I had using the Adobe Color Printer Utility in both Mavericks and El Capitan.
Just visually looking at them, there differences especially in the greens.

I used exactly the same settings.

Shouldn't be any difference. Maybe there's some bug somewhere but in the testing I've done, the two OS's produced the same output (it has been awhile).
Doesn't the DataColor app print the targets directly?

I was just using a Datacolor file for something to check the difference no app.

I've got one more thing to check. At some point there was an Apple update that included something for Canon printers. I'm sure it in the El Cap, but not sure if it's in my Maverick's OS.

Solved. Again thanks to Doyle.

A modified AppColorMatchingInfo.xml file apparently wasn't need in Mavricks for ColorMunki Print.
Something changed in El Cap. I added the ColorMunki info to the AppColorMatchingInfo.xml file and now it appears to work.

Apparently so, but I'm no expert. Just following clues left by others.
When I have time I'll check to see if my Pro100 is effected.
