Looking for a Rodenstock Apo Ronar 150mm f9 to test with my Sinarcam2/P2 for digitizing 2 1/4 film. Consider a Sironar Apo Macro 120mm as well.

Is this for color or BW? The contrast range of BW film might be a little low for a good conversion. Color slide film will better fit for the cameras LUT.
I used a 120 macro for this and the results were good but some of the BW images had posterization issues. There is less then 6 stops of data on most BW film (D range of 1.8= 6 stops). A 12 stop capture device with a 14 bit ADC is not ideal for this IMHO.

The Schneider G claron might work for your purpose as well, and they are probably more plentiful than Apo Ronars. They were used on a lot of copy cameras in the past and are excellent at infinity for LF film too.

Good to know, thank you. I'm looking to acquire a few lenses to test before making final decision. Images are from 1950's - 1970's, about 80% MF color neg and 20% MF B&W neg. I'm looking to test a 120mm Apo-Sironar Macro as well.

Thank you for the tip, I will see if I can locate a 150mm Schneider G-Claron to test.
Also looking at an SK Grimes Fine Focus 2.5/1 Focusing Mount to use with SinarCam2/54H-multi in compact mode. I understand the Fine Focus was designed for Digitar lens adapters for 60mm, 80mm and 90mm. I could do the 80mm and have SK Grimes fabricate an extension tube for capturing 2 1/4 film.
Any thoughts on a Digitar for film capture?
