Title: Editing metadata for Canon CR2 raw files in Windows Explorer

Did a shoot using a borrowed camera and the metadata from all the images is incorrect.
I edited the files in Lightroom and now have xmp files along side the raw files that show the correct metadata.

However, in Windows Explorer the raw file still shows the incorrect metadata.
Can anyone recommend a way to edit the Canon CR2 raw files with the correct metadata ?

There are also GUI-basedfront ends to help ease the learning curve.
