Title: Hiding Haleakala
Post by: Arlen on November 19, 2015, 11:12:43 pm
Captured moments before the incoming storm totally obscured the old volcano. Shot last year, but only recently processed.

Simple, but very efficient.

Very nice. Must be on the windward side ... the other side is very dry with the Silver Swords if I remember right. Nature Conservancy has a beautiful protected forest and they guide hikes through there. Very worthwhile.

Thanks. This was shot from the west side, very near the coast at Wailea. Higher up, it is much drier than it appears here.

Beautiful. The cloud mist reveals just enough to create mystery.
