Could the search be over for my perfect landscape camera kit? Probably never will be but my landscape bag (by Nov. 26)will only consist of the Sony RX1RII and the Sony A7RII w/ Batis 25mm. DONE. This combo can cover 95% of all my landscape work. I like the idea of two compact cameras in my bag, I won't have to fuddle around with changing lenses. Plus I really think that the RX1RII could possibly produce some of the best 35mm images we have ever seen from a technical standpoint, we photographers will still have to find the good light. If I thought I could find a 35mm lens for the A7RII that could match the RX1RII then I might have gone that direction. Exciting times!

Indeed the Batis 25 is a great lens. Probably the just announced Loxia 21 will be too...
And there are rumours of a Batis 18 for 2016...

I would now like to see a new 135 from Zeiss.
It would make me miss my 200 Nikon that little bit less if I get a Sony..

There are suppose to be 5 new Zeiss FE mount lenses coming according to this interview.

Maybe it is still too soon to start seeing trends, but one can always extrapolate:)
So, now that we have the Loxia line with 21, 35, and 50, and the Batis line with 18 (if rumours prove to be true), 25, and 85, where will the new ones fit in the sequence, and under what line?
The above-mentioned 135mm lens could come from either a Batis or Sony G, or Sony Zeiss; a MF 135mm say f2 like the Milvus 135 f2 seems not very likely. My bet would be on Sony Zeiss, given the already existing lens for A mount.
In spite of all the already existing native 35mm lenses, I would love to see a 35 f2 with AF; Batis 35 anyone?
Then of course an 85 f1.4 to complement the 35 f1.4 lens, I suspect this one will come as Sony Zeiss, given the existing A mount lens.
I wish Sony and Zeiss would finish at least one of the lens lines (f1.4, f1.8, f2, f2.8...), at least then we could guess with less uncertainty...

Good stuff, thanks for pointing it. In short, we should expect Zeiss to deliver a full line of lenses for the E mount covering FF, similar to the Milvus focal lengths: right now, we already have 21, 25, 35, 50, and 85 (Loxia and Batis). There are rumours of a new Batis 18 for 2016, this would be part of the 2-3 lenses Zeiss mentions in the interview. I suspect that a 135mm lens will be another for 2016.
Remaining 3 (out of the 5 total) will likely include an 85, and a 100 macro? Plus a Distagon 15? This would replicate the Milvus focal lengths.
As for the slow delivery/production of the Batis, indeed only last week I managed to get the B25 and B85 in my country (Portugal). The guy in the shop (Zeiss dealer for the country) told me that Zeiss severely underestimated the demand for the lenses, which confirms the interview.
