Title: Voigtlander discontinues film gear

Surprised to see some adapters for m4/3 being discontinued (VM and F mounts), plus some SLII series lenses (40 and 58mm).

Sad, for sentimental reasons: my first 'adjustable' camera was a Vito B with 2.8/50mm Colour Skopar. Bought a separate rangefinder for it, and thought myself the bee's knees. For a while, until the Exakta Varex came into my life. Been on slr cameras ever since.

I think my girlfriend/wife-to-be helped me buy it out of her pocket money; if memory serves, it cost about £ 25 back in the 50s...

My dad's first camera was a folding Voigtländer Bessa II. But that was the old Voigt…it's just a brandname-for-license now. Though IMO Cosina has been a respectful steward of the name. Apparently they'll still be making Voigt-branded stuff for electronic cameras.

Attached is a pic of my dad, taken by his friend Ben with the Bessa c. 1954. This is one of the few such photos in his "archive"…most of 'em were lost at some point.
