I'm looking for matt paper similar to Hahnemule's Photo Rag with Deckle edges. I see Hahnemule have A3+ and A2
But for my project I need square.
Alternatively I could make it...but a little worried it won't look right.
Anyone have experience with Deckle edges?
Also how does it hold up over time...in terms of curling etc.
I've seen floating it with hinges to the board through a slit cut...but most seem to dry mount on foamcore almost to edge and float it off the backing.

Word to the wise, deckle after the print, don't try to feed true watercolor paper into an inkjet.
1. You will get tons of trash in the printer from the raw edge
2. The print head will more than likely hit a deckle also.
3. You can't get a good print anyway as the deckled edge will not look right as the ink won't lay down evenly on the ragged edge.
The best bet is to print on good stock, matte paper like Arches from Canson, then deckle the edge afterwards. That is what I do. I provide a nice and different look for sure. You can do a much better job this way. There are nice tools out there to help make the deckle. Make sure you flip the print over to make the deckle.

I always float mount the prints and float the mat which gives you a greater sense of depth.
The trick is the float mount on the print takes some time.

I'm a little worried about page curl overtime, so I'll probably mount on foamcore, this will also allow it to levitate/float off the background.

Can you explain how would you flat mount the print to the matt and the matt to the matting back?
What materials wold you use and some sort of a step by step?
