Title: ColorMunki Photo Target Print Issue
Post by: Tom Marasco on August 17, 2015, 11:21:10 pm
Hello everyone,
I am wondering if someone could explain what is going on with my target prints.  I'm printing on a 9500 MK II.  The target on the left was created while printing from an iMac, and the one on the right was created using a Windows 10 PC.  The Mac target is having issues with the magentas, and the PC target seems to alleviate most of those issues, with a shift in color.  What would cause such a thing(s)?

I'm relatively new to color management and printing, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Tom

well, off the top of my head, the first issue is obviously the 'staining' and smearing.  You may want to look at the 'platen gap' setting and the drying time setting to adjust it for the thickness of the paper.

Second, you want to make sure to select Epson Color Matching in the driver and NOT Colorsync.  There is a FAQ-ish type thing on the XRite Colormunki web page that takes about printing the target on the Mac.
