Shooting in the rain and mists of Washington state. Just out for a drive looking for the tulip festival a Spring or two ago, never found it. Haven't posted in awhile and thought I'd just say hi. Right now in Arizona, I find this pastoral scene very soothing!

It is very nice and a good candidate for B&W.
-
Thanks for the thought, Robert. Hadn't thought of B&W.
-
Simple and beautiful.
I like the layer and subdue. I think B&W will be great too.
-
Nice receding planes.
-
Thanks to Robert, rendered in B/W. Actually like the B/W version better.
-
I agree it looks fantastic in B&W.
-
The rendering is first class. It was the tones nearest the sky that I thought would make it a good candidate for B&W.
-
Really good in B&W. Do you really not have scenes like that in Arizona?

You called it right, Robert!

Haven't found 'em yet, Jeremy, but I'm lookin' ;)
All, thanks for the comments and suggestions!

I like the bw version much more than the color; however, I am seeing very weird haloing around the upper lefthand tree limbs and leaves, and pixelation in the sky. Just an artifact of jpg conversion, my monitor, or something else?

There were clouds and mist unevenly shifting in the background; I know what you're seeing and thought it odd as well. I can't see the pixelation you describe on my wife's computer monitor, but I don't see it in the original so I am assuming it's from the jpeg conversion and downsizing.
